Health insurance in Tbilisi for foreigners
Most of the 287 clinics in the Unison network are in Tbilisi; the rest are in Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Poti and the regions. When you buy, you choose the clinic you register with, and that is where you go for scheduled care — a family doctor, check-ups, dentistry, tests.
The policy is issued to citizens of any country, ages 1 to 65. No residence permit is required, and neither is a border crossing: cover starts the day after payment, wherever you already are. Travel insurance is a different product — it covers emergencies for the length of a trip and is what you need to enter the country; this one is for living here.

Unison compared with other insurers in Georgia
Several insurers sell annual health cover in Georgia, and on paper the plans look alike — a family doctor, hospital care, dentistry at a share of the bill. The difference people actually feel is the payment schedule: how much you have to pay before the cover starts.
Unison lets you pay monthly — the first payment covers two months, then once a month. The other two policies we sell ourselves, GPI and ARDI, start at a quarter of the year through us, so entering costs about three times more up front. We do not rank the cover itself: the plans are not comparable line by line, and the comparison table below is for the four Unison plans.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Unison health insurance in Georgia cost?
From ₾49 a month for Classic up to ₾140 for Unique. The price depends on age: it is lower up to and including 50, higher from 51. The exact sum for your group is in the calculator on this page.
Can a foreigner buy Unison insurance without a residence permit?
Yes. No residence permit is needed, a passport is enough. The policy is issued to citizens of any country, including people living in Georgia on a visa or without one.
When does the policy take effect?
The day after the payment reaches the insurance company. It cannot start on the day of purchase — that is a Unison condition, not a restriction of ours.
How does Unison insurance differ from travel insurance?
Travel insurance covers emergencies for the length of a trip and is what you need to enter the country. Unison health insurance covers planned care: a family doctor, check-ups, dentistry, medicines and hospital treatment.
Which clinics accept a Unison policy?
The Unison network has 287 clinics and medical centres: Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and the regions. When buying, you choose the base clinic you are registered with.
Can the whole family go on one policy?
Yes, one policy can list several insured people, including children from one year old. The price is worked out per person; there is no family discount.
How do I pay?
Two ways: by card online, or by bank transfer from your banking app. Transfer costs less — there is no card fee. Four schedules are available: monthly, quarterly, every six months, or the whole year at once. The monthly rate is the same in all of them; only the size of the first payment changes. From the second payment onwards the money goes to the insurer directly.
Does Unison insurance cover dentistry?
Yes, in all four plans, but at different shares: Classic — 50% with a ₾1,000 annual limit, Advance — 60% and ₾1,500, Premium — 70% and ₾1,800, Unique — 80% and ₾2,000. You pay the rest at the clinic.
What is not covered?
